Sept 2008 : The Summer's End

Greetings All

Hope everyone is doing well. Been busy with a few projects the last few weeks to months. One project I've been involved with has just returned from pressing. DRC aka Da Rebel Cause - Smiling In Da Sun full length LP has just arrived today. We are very happy to see this work come into completion.

What can I say? This is a fantastic hip hop record. The songs hit many different ranges of artistic style and lyrical content. There are reggae vibes and nods throughout. Don't come looking for gangsta rap and bling bling coke raps. It ain't here. This is strictly Revolutionary Hip Hop at it's finest. The LP also features appearances by Binghi Ghost, Jah P and Mark Schwaber.

I'm very proud to be a part of the production of this record. DRC himself will be showcasing the record here at Reggaedubwise.com and will be selling it in mp3 format in the store.

I'm also happy to announce that Ras Amerlock has prepared a remix contest that he and I are getting together at the moment for Science of the Trinity. It will be great to hear the versions that the massive bring forward.

I can't say enough how impressed I am with the music you all are uploading here. There have been some fantastic tracks throughout. It would take a new user months to sort through it all.

One thing I'd like to add quick. People have been very supportive in offering donations to the site and asking what they can do to help make the wheels spin. Here is one very very simple thing. Enter content in the forum. Very easy. By entering criteria in the forum that cross references across the net, people are helping the site immensely. Rave about a new mic. Bash a midi keyboard gone haywire. Tell us about a new release and what label it's on. Etc etc etc. All simple stuff that everyone here likes to read. It helps the site just by being filled with good information. Technique, gear, PC issues.... doesn't matter. Thanks.

Working on a few new things. I'd like to get something up for folks to mix very soon. Long overdue.

Forgive my amateur blog. New to this blog thing. I'll get it....
