I was born in Kingston, Jamaica, my mother was a lead singer in our local church, and she also did some drama, so I guess I took my mothers genes, We moved to St.Annes Parish, when I was about six years old, my mother noticed that I had a huge love for singing, I first started singing, I can remember when I was 6, when my mother and my self used to go out shopping or any where, I used to sing and people who would pass us would praise me to my mother, My mother joined me to our church choir and I just loved singing, At the age of 8 I was singing in the school activity plays, family weddings etc, by the age of 14, I started singing with a mic and mixing with other singers, who gave me advice and inspiration at the time, such as Brian Mcenley, Danny English and Paul Brady, these were people that I used to look up to in my church, Barrington Levy, Beres Hammond and Sanchez inspired me. I did my first single in 1989 in Jamaica called "girl if you love me", In 1992 I done a cover version of Michael Jackson's "there's a place in your heart". When I was 18 years old I was singing in dancehalls, weddings and funerals. It was one time I was performing on a show in Jamaica and Dainty Jones was in the audience; she came back stage and said she would like to take me to England, as I’m a versatile singer. So then I came to England and have been producing songs ever since.
